Anonymous submitted: wanted to let you know I was at the Smithsonian today and either someone reposted an old picture of kermit in mourning for Jane and it spiraled or else he is already out of mourning because the arm band was gone. In case any one was planning to go see it.
Aw. I guess they just did it for the week or so. Thanks for the update!
Anonymous submitted: whose facebook did that photo come from?
Assuming you mean the Eric and Herry, because that’s the only facebook source photo I’ve posted recently… when you click on the link it takes you to Alan Muraoka’s facebook. Strangely, I think the only way you can figure out if it’s from facebook is from clicking (or hovering I guess) on the picture and going to Alan’s facebook…

Anonymous submitted: Weird muppet confession.. I ship Freddie Mercury & Richard Hunt but Queen never did anything with the muppets besides the muppets version of Bohemian Rhapsody. xD
That is a weird Muppet confession…

Anonymous submitted: Did you use a gif of Four Rooms on that Gonzo headphones post? Because that is not what I expected from a Muppets fan blog. Not that I don't love a Four Rooms reference.
LMAO yep. XD
Why not? It’s QT! And he was in The Muppet Wizard of Oz after all.
RELEVANT!
Anonymous submitted: At urban outfitters they had some plush muppet ornaments and these key holders, one was Kermit and the other was a rainbow with "the muppets" written on it,thought you'd be interested
Neato! Thanks for that info!

Anonymous submitted: I'm watching the newest muppet movie again and it just struck me,i know this is super weird, but I wonder what it smells like in a car full of muppets, you know?Like I bet they have a specific muppet smell that no other puppet has...i don't know haha sorry that's weird

Yeah that is weird.

Anonymous submitted: Do you think the new movie will have Walter in it?
That’s a good question. I assume so and I think it’ll be really interesting to see how he’s incorporated into the group. I would honestly be really disappointed if they introduced him in the last movie, told him he was part of the group and then we never saw him again.
What do you guys think?
Anonymous submitted: are the abba muppets on youtube real muppets?
Okay, I had to google what you were talking about and research it a bit myself. So if you mean these “abba muppets” singing “Take a Chance on Me” by ABBA from The Muppet Show, then yes! Those are REAL Muppets. Trademarked and everything.
But I don’t think you mean those ones. Because if you did, I would be chasing you out of this blog with a broom.
You meant This Video, which to be fair was the first in my search. But I just really like the birds on a wire sketch. Steve! :d
Back to the question, though… Absolutely not Muppets.
So yes, they’re using the term, technically, illegally in their description “Abba’s tiny muppets dancing and singing” but correctly in their title “Abba Muppets Parody”.
People labeling random puppets as “muppets” is my most giant Henson pet peeve. No, wait, people that call Muppets “muffets” is my most giant. But this comes close.

HOWEVER!
They were built by The Jim Henson Company. So, not Muppets, but Henson creations.
Anonymous submitted: I don't know if you saw the Emmy's and noticed this, but I was very upset that they did not include Jerry Nelson in the memorial slideshow. It was kind of heart wrenching.
Yeah, that was a major bummer. I didn’t watch the Emmys but I hear about it. The Count got a mention on some Big Bang Theory bit or something. Bogus.
Anonymous submitted: what can you tell me about the production of The Ghost of/at Faffner Hall? besides that it was on hbo, had 13 episodes, was produced by the Jim Henson Company.
Is this a quiz? I never saw it when it originally aired, but yay for YouTube!
For everything you really need to know about it: Muppet Wiki’s page for Faffner Hall.
I’ve seen a few episodes on Youtube and honestly, for something that Richard Hunt is kind of the main character of… it’s not great, Faffner Hall. There’s some good guest stars like James Taylor and Ladysmith Black Mambazo, and the regular cast is great with Hunt, Gold, Prell, Mak Wilson and Mike Quinn. But the main puppets are really odd looking (kinda like the guys in the Jim Henson Hour “Inner Tube” pilot. Which was made around the same time.) The JHH got a redesign but Faffner Hall didn’t. Both shows weren’t very successful anyway. Personally I think JHH is above and beyond Faffner, though.
But, I’ve only seen the clips on the Youtubes and have never been that impressed with it. But that’s just my opinion, so there you go.
Sorry to take so long with answering this, it got a bit lost in me box.

Anonymous submitted: when i was a kid my dad did a concrete countertop for jerry Ju
Cool!
That reminds me, Jerry Juhl Day is coming up… on the 26th, right after Jim and Steve’s birthday on the 24th!
BTW, guys, I really love celebrating Muppeteer (and Muppet people) birthdays and remembrances on death days. So if you see I haven’t acknowledged either day for someone then PLEASE submit something or just ASK box me and remind me. Because I forget sometimes.
